The value for employers

The need for workers to deliver on the promise of expanded broadband access in Wisconsin is real, especially for the employers looking to hire. Workforce experts predict the creation of 5,300 new jobs related to broadband expansion investments with just a $500 million investment. This includes 1,250 jobs created directly and more than 4,000 jobs created indirectly or through increased spending.

Wisconsin is expected to see more than twice this investment – leading to the creation of more than 10,000 new jobs in the next four years! Participation in the coalition assures employers stay connected to the process, have the ability to influence policy and spending decisions and are engaged in a proactive campaign to identify and recruit workers to the careers in broadband.
